The main doors open onto an expansive view from the entry of the Grand Cayman villa to the rear where the glistening Caribbean ocean meets the sun swept sands of the beaches of the Cayman Islands, where almond, coconut and grape trees give shaded shelter to the hammock and picnic tables, where children sit at the ocean’s edge and play with boats or build castles in the sand, where families embrace the good times and say farewell to the bad. This is our Grand Cayman vacation villa and we are happy to share it with you…
You won’t find our island vacation home on the famous Seven Mile Beach of Grand Cayman, we wanted to unwind, relax and soak up the island flavour (high rise buildings, crowds and traffic jams just don’t exude that peaceful island living feeling that we were looking for). Our Cayman Islands villa, as is most of the privately owned Cayman Islands vacation villas, is nestled on the tranquil shores of the beaches of Cayman Kai near Rum Point on the northern end of Grand Cayman Island. Where the days pass at your own paste, where people still wave at strangers as if they are old friends, where bicycles are the best mode of transportation and where the still nights echo your hearts’ beat as you gaze upon the star filled sky’s.
Built with our family’s comfort in mind, Villa Bellagio Cayman, emits a casual yet luxurious beachfront style of living. Our Grand Cayman vacation rental is furnished and decorated with family and friends at its center, our furnishings are elegant and comfortable yet relaxed enough for our smallest guests. Each bedroom is groomed with its own personality because of course each belongs to a family member and we are all individual personalities, as we are certain your family is and it is our hope that you’ll find a bedroom personality that suits each of you as you visit with us.
Cayman Kai is on the less traveled roads of Grand Cayman but not so secluded is our Cayman villa that water sports activities as found on the 7 Mile Beach are of Grand Cayman Island is hours away, we built our Cayman vacation rental to enjoy all island living activities, not only calm serenity but what would island living be without the accessibility of water sports as well. Ocean Frontiers (www.oceanfrontiers.com) is located just a short ½ mile at the Kaibo Yacht Club where you’ll also find lounge chairs and hammocks open to the public and a very nice beach bar and restaurant open for lunch and dinner. Red Sail Sports (www.redsail.com) is just a ¾ mile away at Rum Point, jet skis, water bikes and kayaks are a few of the rentals offered there. Hammocks, picnic tables, beach chairs and volleyball are good past times. The bar has the best Daiquiris’ on the island and their lunch is pretty good too.

Our vacation rental villa is found in Cayman Kai on the north coast of Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. The entire Cayman Kai is a developed seaside community boasting homesite properties of million-dollar value (without the homes). Cayman Kai is the premier vacation villa community on Grand Cayman. Villa Bellagio Cayman (along with our next-door neighbors, Pieces Of Eight) has the privilege of being one of the newest vacation homes in the area. Built in 2003 and opened in 2004, we are mere babies compared to most of the areas’ 15-20 year old homes. Our location faces the cove looking out into the north sound, home of the Sand Bar and Stingray City. The expansive ocean views extend out and over to the 7 Mile Beach area where the newly completed Ritz Carlton Hotel and Resort can be seen in the distance and the glorious setting sun makes an amazing firework display. The cove is an exceptional location for homeowners and vacationers as the protection from the oceans’ currents lends to the almost complete absence of ocean salts (salt spray) and pungent salt water scents that are air borne with the salts attaching to windows, doors and anything else in which it comes in contact with. The gentle wave action or sometimes, complete lack of, makes an ideal playground for small children at the oceans edge.

“A glimmering night-time light show where Cayman’s waters burst to life with a bright glow from the deep.”
Take a kayaking tour out to a secluded bay at Rum Point and you will be rewarded with a glimmering light show like no other.
A secret of nature seen in few places, this natural phenomenon is a magical experience that will be enjoyed by all. Bioluminescence tours are bound by the lunar calendar and run on the darkest nights of the month when the moon has not risen or is new, which limits light pollution.
Once the sun sets and after a brief safety talk, kayakers set off on a peaceful 45 minute paddle to the bio-bay following the sheltered coastline of North Sound.
Once the tour reaches the bio-bay, participants are ale to set their paddles down and marvel at the underwater light show which is nothing short of spectacular.
The mysterious light is created by micro-organisms called Dinoflagellates Pyrodinium bahamense which thrive in a pristine environment uniquely suited to their needs. Measuring just 1/500” of an inch, each organism emits a flash of blue light via a chemical reaction when it feels pressure against its cell wall, creating a spectacular effect unlike any other.
Run a hand, paddle or foot through the water and watch as a glow of light radiates from the deep.
Be amazed as a magical glow emerges and bathes everything that it touches in light.
Fish flash by, sending bright blue streaks rushing through the depths below, while kayaks sit on a cloud of light.
Glowing ripples dance across the water and beads of light whirl across the surface.
Paddles stir up the glow and a shimmering wake trails behind kayaks as nature’s fireworks burst into life.
Watch for rays which are often seen in the bay and can be detected by the large light area they create. Adventurous participants can even take a swim in the bay and marvel as every inch of their immersed body brightly lights up as if sprinkled by stardust.
This is surely Mother Nature at her most magical.
Key facts- The bio-bay is located in a quite residential area of Rum Point that is only a few feet deep
A relatively new discovery, little is known about Cayman’s bio-bay and the tour company hope sto entice researchers to find out more
Unlike other bio-rays where the intensity of the glow is affected by the day’s weather, the light emitted at Cayman’s bio-bay remains consistent to the naked eye
